Privacy Policy for Photo & File Recovery

KurdSofts.Net (“KurdSofts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Android application Photo Recovery (package name net.kurdsofts.recoverphotos). This policy explains how the app handles information.

Summary

Photo & File Recovery scans and restores supported photos and files on your Android device. Your photos and files are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to KurdSofts servers. After you accept this policy, the app may use Google Firebase for analytics and push notifications and Google Mobile Ads for advertising, subject to consent choices where required.

Information the app handles

Photos, videos, audio, and files

When you choose a scan, the app asks for the Android permissions needed to read supported media or files. An optional deep-scan feature may ask for “All files access” so the app can examine additional folders. The app uses this access only to find items on your device, show recovery candidates, and save the items you choose to restore. Media and file contents are processed on your device and are not sent to KurdSofts or Google Firebase.

App, device, and usage information

After you accept this policy, Google Analytics for Firebase may collect app interactions and diagnostic context such as app version, device model, operating-system version, language, general region derived from IP address, and app-instance identifiers such as a Firebase Installation ID. We use this information to understand feature usage and improve reliability. We disable advertising-ID collection and advertising-personalization signals in the app.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging uses an app-instance registration token and related device/app information to deliver notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in Android settings.

Advertising and consent information

The app may display ads supplied by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Depending on your region and choices, Google may process advertising or app-set identifiers, IP address, general location derived from IP, device and app information, ad interactions, and consent signals to provide, measure, secure, and limit the frequency of ads. Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents consent choices before ads are requested, and a privacy-options entry is available in the app when required.

If a Google ad is unavailable, the app may request a KurdSofts house ad from ads.kurdsofts.net. That request contains the app package name, a random app-install identifier, and the selected app language; the server also receives the IP address normally included in an internet request. The random identifier is not an Android hardware identifier and is reset when app data is cleared or the app is reinstalled. Photo, media, and file contents are never included in an ad request.

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it only to respond to and manage your request.

Permissions and your choices

Photos and videos / Music and audio / Files: used only when you start the related scan or recovery action.
All files access: optional; used only for the deep file scan. You can continue with limited access instead.
Notifications: optional; used for app-related messages.

You may deny or revoke permissions in Android settings. Some scan or recovery features will be limited when their required permission is unavailable. Where available, you can review advertising privacy choices from the app’s settings menu. You can reset app preferences and locally stored identifiers by clearing the app’s storage, or remove the app and its local data by uninstalling it.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to provide scanning and recovery features, remember your preferences, deliver notifications you allow, show and measure ads, limit ad frequency, measure app usage, diagnose problems, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Google services including Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Mobile Ads, and Google’s User Messaging Platform. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or our rights, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention

Scan results, restored files, consent, language, the random house-ad installation identifier, and other app preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Google and Firebase retain service data according to their applicable retention practices. KurdSofts retains limited house-ad request records only as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, measurement, security, and abuse prevention. We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements.

Request deletion of app data

Photo & File Recovery does not create user accounts. You can immediately delete on-device scan results, restored files, consent choices, language settings, the random house-ad installation identifier, and other app preferences by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

To request deletion of information held by KurdSofts, email [email protected] with the subject Photo & File Recovery data deletion. Include the approximate date you used the app and any information needed to identify your request; do not attach photos or files from your device. We will verify and process valid requests and confirm completion by email.

We delete identifiable support communications and KurdSofts house-ad records connected to a verified request unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping. Data independently processed by Google services is handled under Google’s controls and retention practices. We do not receive or store the contents of photos, videos, audio, documents, archives, or other files scanned by the app, so there is no copy of that content on KurdSofts servers to delete.

International processing

Firebase may process information on Google’s global infrastructure. Where required, applicable contractual and legal safeguards are used for international data transfers.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date.
